Our Speech therapists

Lesya graduated from the Tallinn Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2010 with a degree in psychology and speech-language pathology . She also graduated from Herzen University in 2014 with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology.

I have been working as a speech-language pathologist at a preschool for ten years. Starting in September 2024, I will be working as a speech-language pathologist and special education teacher at Aves.

In my work, I use a variety of modern methods that help make the therapy process more effective. I work with children who have speech impairments, are bilingual, have intellectual disabilities, are on the autism spectrum, or have pronunciation problems, and I also treat reading and writing disorders.
In addition to speech-language pathology methods, my areas of interest also include kinesiology, neurogames, and speech-language therapy massage.

Liis earned degrees in both speech-language pathology and special education, as well as in English language teaching, from the University of Tartu. Throughout her career, Liis has worked in both fields at various educational institutions.

Liis has been working as a speech-language pathologist at Ave Center for 4 years.

She currently works as a speech-language pathologist at the Väike Päike Children’s Club. In addition, Liis is an English and Estonian language teacher and language coach at Multilingua Language School, where her clients are mostly adults.

My work life is very varied, and these two fields complement each other perfectly. Even adult language learners may have specific needs, whether major or minor, and as a speech-language pathologist, I have some useful tips for helping foreign language learners improve their pronunciation.

On the other hand, an increasing number of bilingual or even foreign-language families are coming to Ave Keskus for services . Sometimes communication with these families takes place exclusively in English, and it may be that they specifically want their child to receive speech therapy in English.

In my work, what matters most to me is that my efforts help make life more meaningful. Through my work, I can help clients and improve their quality of life. At Ave Center, I feel like I’m always welcome there. There’s a pleasant atmosphere there, where specialists are trusted and everyone has the opportunity to bring their ideas to life.
