Sensory-motor therapy uses a variety of exercises to improve the interaction between movement and perception. These exercises provide support for a range of neurological challenges, such as learning disabilities ( including dyslexia and dysgraphia), behavioral problems, ADHD, ADD, autism, and Asperger’s syndrome.
Our center uses two different methods to assess the development of reflexes:
The Masgutova Method (MNRI) Read more:www.masgutovamethod.com
INPP Read more:www.inpp.org.uk,http://www.inpp.de
These methodologies are based on the principle that a child’s primary, or primitive, reflexes lay the foundation for a person’s holistic physical, emotional, and cognitive development. The methodologies have been developed as a result of years of scientific research.
Work with a child begins with assessing and mapping the child’s current situation. In collaboration with the child’s parent, clear goals are set based on the child’s individual needs.
Following the assessment, a personalized exercise plan is developed based on the child’s level of neuromotor development. These exercises are usually simple and playful so that they can be done at home on a daily basis. Throughout this process, the child’s development is regularly assessed, and adjustments are made to the plan as needed.
