Speech Therapy Services

A speech therapist supports the development of a child’s speech and language.
Speech development is closely linked to a child’s ability to communicate, think, and learn — clear speech and good language skills form the foundation for successful communication and learning. A speech therapist helps identify a child’s strengths and the areas where they need extra support, and selects exercises and activities tailored to the child.
A speech therapist can help if a child has difficulty:
– Pronouncing sounds correctly
– Forming words and sentences
– Understanding speech and following instructions
– Learning and using vocabulary
– Communicating and expressing themselves clearly
– Eating or swallowing (oral motor skills)
For preschool-age children, AVE Little Preschool may also be a good fit.

“Language gives a child the ability to communicate, learn, and express themselves. For me, it’s important to find each child’s strengths and make language and speech development meaningful and motivating for them.”
